basement home theater, now comes the fun part- selecting your
home theater components!
Home theater components
There are four main components in any home theater system: the
display (which can be a variety of HDTV
technologies including a front
projector), A/V receiver,
speakers, and a DVD
player or Blu-ray player.
 You
can also opt for separate components (amplifier, surround sound
decoder, scaler, etc.) to replace a home
theater receiver ,
but they are beyond the budget of many people, so for our purposes
we'll keep it simple.
