| The first tasks on the project plan were to clean
out the basement. What a big job that turned out to be! Just cleaning
out my 'work room' took two weekends!
We must have hauled out 15-20 bags of stuff we decided we didn't
need. Lots of kids' toys, and other things we were hanging on
to 'just in case'.
I started the basement be clearing out lots
of
junk to give me some space to work!
One thing I wish I would have done was to donate some of the
stuff to charity (instead of just throwing it away). I'm sure
others could have used a lot of the stuff we didn't want, plus
it would have been a nice little tax deduction.
Unfortunately, it didn't dawn on me to do this until it was too
late.
